The fight between Brutus & Cassius. Lesson 4

Brutus & Cassius were arguing over Pella for accepting bribes.  Cassius stands up for Pella and Brutus thinks Cassius is wrong for defending Pella.  

Where was Ceasar killed?

Ceasar was killed in front of Pompey's statue and this is significant because Ceasar killed Pompey.

Did Brutus have a good reason to go through with the conspiracy?

No, because Brutus only had what if's and no real proof that Ceasar would have been a bad king.

Why is it so important?

In the first scene, the poor people wanted Caesar to be their King.  Caesar refused the offer to be king.  this was important because the rich people didn't like Caesar because he was changing tradition.  If Caesar became king, they might lose money, so they were scared.  This is why the offer of Caesar becoming king was important.

New hope for France and England

With the marriage of Henry and Kathrine, the French King and Queen hope that France and England will have peace between the two countries.  The French King hopes that Henry and Kathrine's children will continue the peace between France and England.  The Queen believes that if Henry and Kathrine have a good marriage then there will be peace between the two countries.

Discussions

     Bates and Williams are talking, they are discussing the coming battle.  Henry tells them not to be excited for the morning because many will die and not to worry because God will decide who should win.  These were very good points because he told them how to be prepared for battle.

Henry's Speech To The Soliders

     When Henry speaks to his troops he tells them to fight as hard as they can.  He says to "prove worthy your birth"  which means show the French how great Englishmen fight.

Why does Shakespeare have a chorus?

Michael said that the chorus is a reminder to the audience that they are watching a play.  The stage is too small to hold all of the actors that it would need to make it look real.
